Hi Angels! Besides Makeup, Life Hacks and Working out there is one other thing I love and that is writing. More importantly written stories… called Books. So today I thought id throw in something completely different and talk about books. So here it goes my Top 10 books.

First of all before I even begin let me start off by saying picking 10 is hard. For a book worm/book nerd like myself who one day plans to dedicate a whole room in her house to a library picking 10 greatest books is like asking who would I save from drowning my dad or mom. This is hard people. I literally didn’t sleep thinking of who I would have to fight for the ultimate top 10. I mean I have a top 100 so imagine trying to break that down to this. One day I shall share my Top 100 but even that I continue to struggle with. Well enough of me whining because I cant choose a top 10. Alright ladies and gentlemen lets get down to the nitty gritty of this blog post.

1) The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (this was not hard at all to list as the first one because this book has been my #1 since I got exposed to it in English Class. This book is classy, a great read and a catch for anyone who wants to pick it up and read) This epic book was written in 1925 by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This book is narrated by a Nick Carraway who is a Yale Graduate who has a mysterious neighbor who throws some exclusive parties his name is Jay Gatsby. The book takes off on their story and Jays obsession with Nick's Cousin Daisy. It is a smooth read and definitely worth it if you are scared to give it a try, there is a movie starring Leo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. If you are interested in purchasing this book you can get it here https://amzn.to/2J6nmDx

2) Fist Stick Knife Gun by Geoffrey Canada. This book is a powerful memoir of growing up in the mean streets of Urban America. So what I love most about it is that it takes place in the Bronx (my home town). I read this when I was in middle school and it resonated with me for ever. I even own a copy because its was an amazing book that I can relate too. If you are interested in this book you can get it here https://amzn.to/2J6zFzS

3) The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. This is an untraditional love story about a Librarian names Henry who involuntarily travels through time and Clare an artist whose life takes a natural sequential course. Henry and Clare love travels through a sea of time and captures the most impossible romantic trap. This was a captivating book for me because it wasn’t your average love story book and it was extremely well written considering the book itself travels in time in order to keep the story going. This is also a movie you should check out here https://amzn.to/2LditoT and the book here https://amzn.to/2Lez1wQ

4) The Murder House by James Patterson. No. 7 Ocean Drive is a gorgeous, multi-million-dollar beachfront estate in the Hamptons, where money and privilege know no bounds. But its beautiful gothic exterior hides a horrific past: it was the scene of a series of depraved killings that have never been solved. Neglected, empty, and rumored to be cursed, it's known as the Murder House, and locals keep their distance. This book was one of those books you finish in one sitting because it drags you in with every word. You can find it here https://amzn.to/2LfpIws

5) The Girl on the train by Paula Hawkins. This book is just crazy good. Its about a woman names Rachel who takes a train every morning and every night during this ride she sees a stretch of cozy suburban homes. One of the stops happens to face a couples home and she is able to view them every day. She even feels like she knows them. She has named them Jess and Jason. Their life is perfect unlike hers. However during one of the stops on the train she sees something shocking. What she sees makes her go to the police. However she isn't the most reliable witness. Which unfolds the entire book. This is also a movie you should check out if you have not. You can find it here https://amzn.to/2kHMxO5

6) The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Now this is your epic love story book. This book focuses on Noah and Allie who meet during a fair in which they were invited by a mutual friend. Allie is visiting for the summer with her rich parents. Noah is a mill worker and poor. Noah falls head over heels and tries everything to catch her attention until they eventually start dating but they only have a few weeks before she has to leave. The story unfolds as they separate for the summer and get reunited again. This is also a movie you must check out here https://amzn.to/2srN9Mh . The book can be found here https://amzn.to/2Jl9VPz

7) Red Rising by Pierce Brown. This book is a everything you will need and it is a series so you will not have to put it down for a while. It focus on Darrow who's wife is taken, his people are enslaved and he is driven by longing for justice and the memory of this lost love. He will stop at nothing to bring down the enemies even if he has to become one himself. I really hope this becomes a movie. It is so captivating and you will easily fall in love with the characters. You can find it here https://amzn.to/2xIpj3A

8) Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. Pride and Prejudice is a humorous story of love and life among English gentility during the Georgian era. Mr Bennet is an English gentleman living in Hartfordshire with his overbearing wife. The Bennets 5 daughters; the beautiful Jane, the clever Elizabeth, the bookish Mary, the immature Kitty and the wild Lydia. This is another classic and a must read. You can find it here https://amzn.to/2LhBHcY

9) Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger. The Catcher in the Rye is set around the 1950s and is narrated by a young man named Holden Caulfield. Holden is not specific about his location while he's telling the story, but he makes it clear that he is undergoing treatment in a mental hospital or sanatorium. This is definitely a classic and a must read. You can find it here https://amzn.to/2sqQlYo

10) Lucky by Alice Sebold. This book I can compare it to Fist Stick Knife and Gun. It is a thrilling and great memoir. This is a memoir about how her life was transformed when she was brutally raped and beaten in a park near campus when she was 18. Her recovery and how she struggled. What I love most is how she draws in on the experience trauma victims go though. She is also the author of Lovely Bones which is an amazing book as well. You can find Lucky here https://amzn.to/2Jmylbk and Lovely Bones here https://amzn.to/2J7J0Y8
