Hello Angels! Over the weekend I purchased the highly anticipated L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask. There are three different masks there is the exfoliate and refine pores (coral color), the purify and mattify (green color) and then the detox and brighten (charcoal/black). I purchased the detox and brightening one because I heard great things about having oily/acne prone skin and this working wonders. Needless to say this is heaven in a bottle so far. I have only used it once and that was all the convincing I needed. For starters the mask goes on smooth and it is very easy to spread, I know a lot of masks are hard to spread but this one goes on like butter. Its very easy to apply a lot because the product pick up is smooth. I applied a thin layer at first and then went back in for another. Honestly the thin layer would have sufficed now that I have used it. It goes on as a charcoal color and as it dries it turns into a light grey color. I have included pictures below. It does tighten around the skin as you can tell in the pictures you can see wrinkle lines I caused by trying to make silly faces. What I noticed though as it was drying is the pores I was seeing. All the areas where I have oil problems and enlarged pores I could see through the mask because it was forming black spots. The mask was extracting all the nastiness from all the pores and they came up as black dots. All around my nose, cheeks, forehead and chin you can see these visible black dots. The product box said you should leave on for 10 minutes however I left it on for 30 minutes because I was doing a lip exfoliation simultaneously. Upon removal of the mask I felt the tightness you feel from a mask but what I loved and what roped me in to say its heaven in a bottle is the fact that my skin felt so smooth and fresh. You can visibly see that I am rather pink in certain areas, I do have very sensitive skin so that contributes to most of the pinkness but all the areas you see in pink are the same ones that had the black dots seeping through. I tried this mask around 11 or so in the morning and it was 11 o'clock at night and I could still feel the smoothness and lovely smell of the mask lingering. That was what captivated me. The next morning I still felt that smoothness and that to me speaks volumes. I don't know how many masks I have tried and hours later it felt like I never even had a mask on so to say that this one last even until the very next day says a lot. I plan to use it again this weekend to try out and see how it feels the second time around. I shall keep you angels posted on the update.
