Today I will be reviewing one of my most pride possession and it is none other than THE (drumroll please….although you already saw it in the title) JACLYN HILL MORPHE PALETTE!!!!! I was able to get my hands on not 1….not 2…. But 3 of these babies during the very first launch back in July 2017!!!

I purchased 2 for me (one to use and one as a back up/ makeup vanity display) and the third for my good friends whose birthday was only a couple of days after the release. So I currently use one palette and display the other on my makeup vanity (that blog will be happening soon). The packaging is absolutely amazing. It is cardboard in a pearly white with silver print. The front says “The Jaclyn Hill Palette” and down in the corner it say Morphe. The words Jaclyn Hill in the front is written as her signature. Therefore we technically own something signed by her if you have the palette.

This palette is dedicated to all my loving subscribers - XO Jaclyn

The inside has a message from Jaclyn to her fans. It’s colors are reversed in the inside and we now have a gray display/background with white words. The colors inside are majestic and I will display the names of each color below with the picture that was sent with it. I only received one of these in my box which was a disappointment. Im sure they thought since it was going to the same house I may only need one but it would have been nice if they wouldn’t have assumed that. That was really the only negative with the purchase. Other than the fact it took forever to get to me. Usuallt Morphe ships from Burbank which is only 2 hours from me and I usually get all packages within a couple days but this batch was sent from Ohio and my desperate self suffered waiting for its arrival. Anywho back to the palette itself.

Colors:

So the colors are absolutely amazing. I already know which ones Im going to hit pan on here in a few months…these would be Enlight, Pooter, Pukey, Hunts, Hillster, Roxanne, Buns, and Mocha. So the minute I received the palette I had to put it to the test. I remember Jackie Riley (Make-up Artist, also Jaclyn Hill’s bestie who lives in Florida) say that the colors were extremely pigmented and you didn’t need a primer. So I immediately tried the first three colors which I thought would be hard to do (Jada, Pool Party, Royalty). Also I didn’t use primer see below for the results. Now I will say this YEEESSSS!!!!!!! It is absolutely pigmented like a mother trucker but also there is very if not NO fall out from these shadows and that is one of my biggest pet peeves about eyeshadows. I hate fall out!!!! So that alone stole my heart. Also the color range was SO ME. Every color in that palette spoke to me on a higher level and I was SHOCKED!!! It also ranged in colors I would never buy or try out and it got me out of my comfort zone to try it which I love (Pool Party, Jada, Twerk, and Royalty).

Negative:

The one negative thing I can say about this palette is that the outside cover is cardboard which can make it getting dirty rather easy….to easy if you ask me. If I have any residue of the shadows on my fingers and I touch the palette it will transfer in a split second, Good thing I am OCD because I quickly grab a wet wipe and clean it right up. It is just a heads up if you are thinking of purchasing this. I think that Make Up Artist may find some trouble using this with clients and it will get dirty fast for them.

Jaclyn was the very first youtuber I saw and followed for my makeup needs and tutorials to learn from and I have been a Hillster ever since. So I had to support her the minute I knew she was coming up with a palette I had been saving for over a year (no joke). Ill be the same when her cosmetic line launches which I’m desperately waiting and saving up for. Other than the two small negative things I mentioned overall this palette was ALL it was hyped up to be and more. Hope you enjoyed the review until the next post angels!

UPDATE:

*Ulta has now partnered with Morphe to display their products in their store. As explained by Jaclyn in order to match Ulta’s Look they have changed the palettes face. The outside over is now a glossy white material that can easily wipe off and the back of the palette now has the colors and names displayed instead of the blank backside it had before. It is set to premiere on 28 October 2017.*

**If you purchased it what are your thoughts down below if you haven’t why not, anything specific as to why? I would love to hear from you on your thoughts. Leave me a comment down below! Thanks!**
